After a two year break due to the pandemic, the PE Department was delighted to once again host netball, hockey and football matches between alumni and Pate's 1st teams.

In gusty, damp conditions, alumni from year groups ranging from the Classes of 1974 – 2021 enjoyed fast-paced, friendly, competitive games resulting in the netball ending in a 20-8 victory for Pate’s, the hockey a 1-1 draw and the football a 2-0 win for the Old Boys. We were thrilled that two former staff members Daren Brunsdon and Rod Ashman joined the football team and that Ella Hordern, Captain of Cambridge University hockey team, was able to return to play. We even had several members of the Class of 2021 go from their first reunion event which was being held that same afternoon to play for the football team!

We look forward to hosting the same fixture next year - all year groups are very welcome and we hope that StJohn Cox (Class of 1974) will be back on the football team once again!
