Friends of Pate's is run by an elected committee of eight members, chosen at our Annual General Meeting each autumn. We’re a registered charity supporting the Pate's Grammar School community.
Our mission is simple: we’re here to build great relationships, host fun events, and raise the funds that provide the ‘extras’ our students need. We’d love for you to bring your unique talents and join our friendly network. After all, once you’re part of the Pate’s family, you’re a Friend for life!
We’re always looking for new ideas, volunteers, and supporters, whether you can help at an event, join a meeting, or just come along and get involved. Committee meetings are held once every half term on site, and all Friends are warmly welcome to attend and see how our work benefits the school.
We are called The Friends of Pate’s Association, but please just refer to us as ‘Friends of Pate’s.’
We’ve recently updated our name and our outlook because we believe that ‘it takes a village’ to support our students. We are so incredibly fortunate to have a wide, talented community around us, and we want to make sure everyone has a seat at the table. Whether you are a parent, carer, grandparent, or extended family member, you are officially a Friend of Pate’s.
We are also opening our doors wider to our Old Patesians - the alumni whose experience and memories are such a vital part of our school’s DNA. By bringing together the fresh energy of new parents with the wisdom of our former students and extended families, we aim to foster a community spirit that goes far beyond the school gates.
