It was wonderful to be joined by so many alumni for the annual netball, football and hockey Old Boys' and Old Girls' vs Pate's First teams matches earlier this week. Great to see familiar faces and witness the rare sight of family members pitted against each other in the football - a father v son - and the new captain of the Pate's football team Aran playing against his Class of 2019 older brother Rudran!
The Spring sunshine was in scant supply but the spirits of the players shone through, and some excellent sport was seen. With all matches closely fought, it was the Pate's First teams who came through, winning 3 out of 3.
Our thanks to everyone for donning bibs and boots and to our fabulous PE department for holding the event and bringing alumni and current students together.
Any alumni interested in playing next year (usually the last Wednesday of the Spring Term) should please get in touch development@patesgs.org We would love to have a mother and daughter to equal the father and son combination!
