On Wednesday 11th May we said goodbye to our Year 11 students - they were treated to a 'quiz and cake' farewell and they now ready themselves for their GCSE's. The following evening, the Year 13's and their families enjoyed their Leavers' Supper with music, speeches and the singing of their chosen Leavers' Song, 'Viva la Vida' by Coldplay and then on the morning of Friday 13th May, there was yearbook signing at the Leavers' Breakfast, hoody collecting and a whole school assembly with the presentation of the Headmaster's Awards for Outstanding Achievements in all areas of school life (plus a repeat performance of thire Leavers' Song of course!).
Our thanks go to The Pate's Society who once again sponsored the Leavers' Breakfast and to The Pate's Society Chair, Simon Cook, who came along to talk to the students about The Pate's Society and the importance of keeping in touch with the school and each other as Pate's alumni.
We hope that our students have enjoyed their end of year celebrations and will cherish their memories of Leavers' Week. We wish them all the very best for their forthcoming GCSE and 'A' Level exams, and to the Year 13's - we'll miss you, you've been amazing!
