Congratulations to Archie Johnston (Year 12), who is one of two runners up in his age group (11-17). Part of his prize is that his painting will be on display in the museum atrium until next year. Archie’s painting is entitled ‘Overwhelm’ and forms part of a triptych, another painting of which was the one printed on the back of the last edition of Pate's Progress.
Congratulations also to May Mason (Year 11), who has been short-listed in the 11-17 age group and her painting 'Going Under' will be exhibited on the Ashmolean's website. Two great achievements to come out of lockdown!
The competition was judged by:
Lizzie Collins, Director, Zuleika Gallery, Oxford & London

Dr Kamal Mahtani, GP and Associate Professor, Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, Oxford University
