With the traditional Autumn Concert and Carol Service both put on -70 degree dry ice, this term the Music Department have been busy organising 200 students into nineteen year group ensembles. Groups as varied as string groups, wind groups, choirs and jazz bands have been rehearsing safely every lunchtime in the largest, most well ventilated rooms available in the school.
However, with the pandemic still front and centre during December, how could we still share the musical mirth of Christmastide? Well, inspired by the incredible House Music videos produced earlier this year by our house officials – a Christmas Video was to be made! Our sincere thanks go to our AV Technician Mr Gibson, for his sterling contribution for recording, editing and producing all nineteen ensembles into the single festive extravaganza, but most of all, credit should go to the musicians who, despite all the odds, kept the live music playing this term.
We hope that you enjoy the video which can be found on the school website as part of the Headmaster's Message 18th December 2020 here
