Pate’s House Music 2020 ‘The Movie’ was an ambitious project to keep music alive in the school despite all the challanges we are facing. It saw students bringing House Music to the school community from their actual houses so whilst we have missed the usual rehearsal sounds of song, music and laughter flowing out of classrooms, it showed us that nothing keeps a good competition down! Beginning with online rehearsals and culminating in many hours of synchronizing sound tracks with videos to produce an impressive finished product – this has been a truly monumental achievement by our House Officials.
Congratulations to overall winners: York House!
And the catergory winners:
Best Instrumental: York
Best Choral: Pembroke
Best Arrangement: Beaufort
Best Participation: Gloucester
Most Innovative: Richmond
Well done and thank you to all those who took part, and to Ms Lane and Mr Fox, our Director of Music and Musician in Residence. Thanks also to our tech and sound guru, Mr Kelly!
