Last Saturday a group of 15 Pate's RAF cadets gathered at 06:30 to travel down to RAF Halton for the National Royal Air Squadron Trophy after our success at the regionals. As it was the school's first time getting this far, we had no idea what to expect, nevertheless, each cadet gave 100% of their effort into every aspect of the competition.

This resulted in a very well-deserved 1st place in Aircraft Recognition and Command Task. We brought home two trophies, which were presented to us by the Commandant Air Cadets Air Commodore Tony Keeling. After countless hours of training, the team gave an amazing performance across the board, resulting in a tremendous 6th place out of 15, a mere 5 points away from 3rd! These were the top 15 schools out of over 230 CCFs in the country. It was an amazing experience for all involved and naturally a huge congratulations to the team - well done to all the cadets and staff for their hard work and committment!
