The Pate's Society recently welcomed the 1962 & 1972 starters to Cheltenham Grammar School and Pate's Grammar School for Girls to Pate's for their anniversary reunion. A group of over fifty alumni from across the year groups attended along with former staff members Graham Parsons (Maths late 1960s - 1979 and CCF), Bob Beale (English, 1969-2002), Hilary Beale (Maths and CDT 1975 - 2000 and Head of PGS Middle School 1990 - 2000), Pat  Furley (PE 1965-1967) and Noel Furley (Geography 1964-1998 and PGS Head of Sixth Form).

A professional photographer captured the special moments as long lost friends reunited and items of school memorabilia were shared and current Year 13 student and member of the school's Development & Alumni Committee Ben, provided background music which lent the event a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Displays of archive material from the 1960's and 1970's were organised by our volunteer Archivists Rob Rimell and Maggie Cowie (attending her own reunion!) and were much enjoyed as were the silent films of the schools in the 1950's which Pate's has recently acquired. It was a wonderful afternoon and a pleasure to meet so many alumni and hear their fond memories of their Pate's past.
