7. The Constitution
To give effect to the Committee’s proposal to dissolve the Pate’s Society there needs to be a few changes to the Constitution which can only happen by a physical vote at today’s AGM.
To confirm, these changes to the Constitution are administrative only to clarify the process and do not change in any way the meaning of how the assets or remaining funds or assets of the Pate’s Society should be applied.
The proposed changes to the Constitution can be found in the 2022/23 Patesian. Note that there has been one small change since the Patesian was published. Section 7 should now read:
This constitution may be amended by the members of the Society in a majority vote of those present and voting at the AGM or a special meeting.
8. Any Other Business
9. Providing that the Constitution changes have been accepted there will now be a special meeting to discuss dissolving the Pate’s Society followed by a vote
If you have any queries about this event please email Maggie Cowie, Pate's Society Secretary for more information: PSoc@patesgs.org
